Olivia Dunn

I’m a writer and a teacher living in Albany, NY. I’m interested in grammar, humor, metaphor, and sincerity. I’m working on a collection of essays that explore the places in a city that people are forced to go, such as: the gas station, the grocery store, and the DMV. I hold an MFA from the University of Iowa’s Nonfiction Writing Program and a BS in Film & Television from Boston University. I’ve worked as a waitress and a set decorator but now I’m a Visiting Professor of English at Skidmore College as well as a creative writing instructor at The Arts Center of the Capital Region. I’m also a writing coach. In the past, I’ve taught grammar to English Language Learners at  Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids, critical thinking to undergraduates at the University of Iowa, and creative writing at the Albany Public Library.
